Dr. Hartfield visited Pk-1st grade to share her book, Rosie The Pig. Dr. Hartfield brought Rosie to visit our students as well.
Veterinarian Dr. Rebekah Hartfield will be at the Pit Stop Bar-B-Q restaurant in Breckenridge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, May 11, to sell and sign copies of her first book “Rosie the Pig.” Dr. Hartfield is the daughter-in-law of Rodney Hartfield, owner of Pit Stop.
Dr. Rebekah Hartfield likes to say, “I fought to get into vet school, fought to stay in, and fought to get out.” Her personal struggle to pursue her passion of being a veterinarian is a badge she wears with honor.
Will Rogers Elementary Pre-K and Kindergarten were visited by Author Dr. Rebekah Hartfield and her pig Rosie. The students were read the book “Rosie the Pig” by Dr. Hartfield and then were able to meet Rosie who the book was written about. The students all enjoyed the visit immensely.

Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences opened its doors to the community during the center’s Annual Open House on April 7, 2018. In spite of colder weather, more than 1,200 visitors attended.
Dr. Rebekah Workman Hartfield, now a veterinarian, presented the children’s book she authored, Rosie the Pig, to Springtown ISD elementary students from all three of the district’s K-4 campuses Thursday, Feb. 1. Hartfi eld’s book, which was published last July, tells the story of Abby’s pig, Rosie, as Dr. H. and Abby examine, diagnose, and treat her.
